The State of Open Source
Venue Four Seasons
Today, more and more Enterprise businesses are adopting and leveraging the benefits of open source technology to drive innovation. We see this in the results of our 2016 The State of the Open Source’ report. However, along with the benefits such as a time and money saver, we found that adoption and deployment still comes with concerns. Security is raised often, with open source code being transparent the perception is that any software defects are out in the open for all to see.
Is this really the case, does this impact your adoption of open source? The second concern expressed is more substantive in that many enterprises don’t have the skills to take full advantage of open source technologies or the cloud, especially more traditional organisations. How are you leveraging open source, do you come up against these concerns? Join us to discuss ways to overcome these and more at our dinner.
