What keeps CIOs awake at night? Of course, there are the usual availability, connectivity and security concerns. How to keep up with the pace of change. The threat of the unknown. But what is it that really motivates them?
If they’re being honest, it is how to be successful: how to make a name for themselves in the organisation – and avoid getting fired.
The mark of a truly successful leader is their ability to deliver growth, not just cost savings and efficiencies. To be an outstanding leader, it is not enough to simply follow the market. Delivering transformative growth means harnessing your data and that of your partners to drive new revenue and deploy new business models to stay ahead of the competition and disrupt the market.
Increasingly, CIOs want to be recognised as an engine of growth, innovation and revenue. Yet for that to happen, they need to reconcile existing systems, processes and datasets with the new wave of innovation-enhancing technologies coming over the horizon – things like IoT, machine learning, APIs and data science. Having a successful integration strategy – tied to innovation – will be an increasingly critical differentiator. And one that might just help keep them in a job.
So how do you expose the potential insights that exist across various company siloes or different databases? How do you join up your processes, data, devices and apps to unlock both efficiencies and new innovations? And how do you bring new technologies into the organisation to help accelerate change and drive new revenue opportunities? Join this Meet the Boss event to find out.
