PSD2 is altering the payment landscape as we know it. To make the most of these developments, eCommerce retailers need a proactive strategy.

The intentions behind PSD2 are positive: to protect businesses and consumers, while driving competition in the European payments industry.

While the directive introduces exciting opportunities related to open banking, it also has the potential to negatively impact the online payment journey. The friction introduced by mandated Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is expected to lead to high rates of cart abandonment, while fraud in channels and markets outside the scope of PSD2 is likely to become more prevalent.

To meet these challenges – and capitalize on the new dynamics introduced by PSD2 – retailers need to have a well thought-out strategy, which is why we’re dedicating a unique evening to examining this critical subject.

Adi Dagul, Director, PSD2 & Pre Auth Solutions at Riskified

Adi Dagul is the Head of PSD2 & Pre Auth Products at Riskified, the leading e-commerce fraud prevention company, optimizing conversion at all stages of the online path to purchase.

Prior to joining Riskified, Adi was a Product Manager at Citibank and Citi Innovation Lab in Tel Aviv, managing various products in payments, receivables, liquidity, and credit cards, as well as Citi natural language processing product for Treasury and Trade Solutions. She took part in the EMEA Innovation Champions team-leading innovation in Citibank EMEA.

To elaborate her expertise Adi joined “she codes;”, an organization aiming to promote women in technology and reach 50% women in the Israeli hi-tech industry. Adi joined the organization in 2017 as a team member and now heads the “she codes;” community division in Israel, managing over 60 volunteers. She has created and implemented the “she codes;” chatbot.

Adi holds a BA degree in Economics and Psychology from the Tel Aviv University.

Lola Adebanji, Director, EMEA eCommerce Solutions Lead at Citibank

Lola is responsible for eCommerce strategy for Citi’s Payments & Receivables business across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Her role involves working with eCommerce companies and Fintechs to support their global growth agenda. Lola also leads engagement on digital themes such as Open Banking, eCommerce trends and payments landscape developments. She has spoken at numerous Citi and industry events including Money 20/20 Europe.

Lola holds a BSc in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics and an MBA from Judge Business School, Cambridge University.
