The Future of Financial Services: The Winners and Losers
Most financial services firms are slowly going out of business – it’s just that many of them don’t realize it yet. Consumers are demanding more, and disrupters are entering the market to meet those demands. Technology is also changing, and disrupters are implementing emerging technologies much faster than traditional firms, as well as using technology to radically change consumer value and business models. You might not know what consumers will demand next, or what the next must-have emerging technology will be, but one thing is certain: the pace of change in the next 10 years will be of a magnitude that is far greater than the past 10 years.
We already see a gap emerging between the financial firms that are embracing these changes and those that continue doing things the same old way. The cracks are beginning to show: many firms don’t understand their customers’ needs and expectations – despite what they might think – and risk becoming ingredient brands or worse, going out of business.
Today’s strategies will not help you win tomorrow’s empowered, demanding consumers. Your customers crave personalized, tailored experiences – and digital technology is at the heart of their demand. Is your institution prepared to help customers achieve the outcomes they desire?
In this session, Forrester’s Principal Analyst Alyson Clarke will talk about the future of financial services, and who the winners and losers will be. She’ll also help you learn from leading firms around the world – how they are laying the groundwork today, and doing the hard work needed to transform the way they do business tomorrow. Plus, you’ll have the chance to share experiences with your industry peers to find out how they are tackling the challenge. Join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening of dinner and discussion.
